The hosts of Covenant Radio, Jeff McCormack and William Hill, are glad to announce a major radio / Internet debate. The debate will be on February 9, 2008, at 10 AM EST. This will be 9 AM central time. This will be a two hour debate.

The disputants in this debate will be Lou Ruggerio, dispensationalist, and Don K. Preston, preterist. Each man will have the responsibility and opportunity to both affirm a positive proposition, and deny his opponents affirmative proposition.

The propositions are:

: The Bible teaches that the second coming of Jesus, as foretold in Matthew 16.27-28, is yet future, and will occur at the beginning of the millennium.

Affirm: Lou Ruggerio

Deny: Don K. Preston

Both men are experienced debaters, and have met each other before in radio debate. Furthermore, each man conducts himself in a proper manner, with Christian decorum, while at the same time pressing their arguments. This provides the listeners with the opportunity to focus on the issues at hand, and not on personalities.

You can listen to the debate live on the Covenant Radio website at http://www.covenantradio.com. Details for listening are listed there.

The broadcast will be LIVE and can be heard at the Covenant Radio web site in the LIVE player or via our TalkShoe account at: http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=10156&cmd=tc

There is a discussion forum at the Covenant Radio website designed to allow listeners to present questions for this debate. The direct link is: http://covenantradio.com/forum/index.php?topic=122.0

Covenant Radio is currently enjoying approximately 3,000 active listeners at this time, but of course, this number does not begin to approach the number of Internet listeners.

This promises to be a lively, entertaining, and important discussion, of a hotly contested and controversial scri ptural passage. Be sure to tune in and have your Bible and note book handy!
